Woodland Financial Partners Announces Leadership Transition
Keshena, WI – August 15, 2024 – Woodland Financial Partners (WFP) today announces the resignation of its dedicated Executive Director, Pamela Boivin, who has led the organization with distinction for the past 17 years. Ms. Boivin will be transitioning to a new role as Project Manager with the Native CDFI Network (NCN), where she will continue her dedication to supporting Native communities.
Reflecting on her time with WFP, Ms. Boivin shared, “I am incredibly honored to have worked with such an impactful organization for 17 years. Together, we have made a significant difference in serving Wisconsin Tribal communities and empowering financial sovereignty for Tribal entrepreneurs and members. As I move onto the next step in my professional journey, I carry the pride and inspiration from our collective achievements.”
Ms. Boivin also expressed her confidence in WFP’s future leadership, stating, “It brings me tremendous honor to introduce WFP’s new Interim Executive Director, Allyssa Verstoppen of the Stockbridge- Munsee Band of Mohican Indians. Ms. Verstoppen has been our Director of Lending for over two years, revolutionizing our lending efforts and expanding our organizational capacities. I am very excited for Ms. Verstoppen and the team to carry the torch with the next steps in the organization’s mission, as we have some new and exciting resources coming soon.”
Reflecting on Ms. Boivin’s contributions, WFP Board of Directors President, Mr. Wesley Martin commented, “Pamela has done an amazing job for us at WFP, and I am so proud of her accomplishments. We have watched her grow from the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director. In that time, the organization transformed into a powerhouse lending institution for our Native communities. She will continue to do great things for our Native communities and Native CDFIs in her new positions. I am proud to have worked with such a bright young leader.”
Ms. Boivin will remain involved with WFP in a new capacity, serving as a member of the Board of Directors. “While stepping away, my work with Native CDFIs has just begun, and I will continue to support our work here in Wisconsin through my capacity with NCN,” she added.
Allyssa Verstoppen, who has played a critical role in advancing WFP’s lending programs, is set to take on her new responsibilities with immediate effect. Ms. Verstoppen commented, “This is an exciting time as WFP continues to grow and serve our Native communities. I am honored and humbled to build upon Ms. Boivin’s legacy.” The organization looks forward to her leadership in this transitional period as WFP continues its mission to empower financial sovereignty for Wisconsin’s Tribal communities.
