Networking and knowledge sharing at NiiCaP’s 4th Annual Convening

(Gresham, WI) Opportunities for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and insights into branding and positioning for businesses were featured at NiiCaP’s July 29, 2011 gathering at Pine Hills Golf Course in Gresham. About 20 attendees from the Menominee, Lac du Flambeau and Mole Lake plus other interested businesses attended the annual gathering.

Gary Mechar with the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin provided insights into opportunities and resources available to DBEs and potential DBEs interested in contracting for the state of Wisconsin.

Joe Murphy, Marketing Director for HVS Advertising-Marketing, Green Bay, provided a “behind the scenes” look into how businesses and organizations create positioning and branding strategies.

According to John Smith, Executive Director of NiiCaP (Niijii Capital Partners, Inc.), the convening is a valuable learning and networking opportunity. “Sharpening the saw and networking are very important to businesses, especially those just starting,” Smith said. “Our annual Convening is a great chance for our clients and associates to do both.”
